Coureurs du Courage: VamOSS!

To celebrate the start of the 2021 road race cycling season, we will be hosting a Social Ride from our home address. Start and finish is from Gewandeweg 56 - Oss, at 11.00h. Free parking available in the area nearby. You will be welcomed with coffee/tea and cake. After the ride there will be time and room to socialize with a drink, all free of charge!

Further details: we will be cycling 65 km this day in groups of maximum 12 people. Guided by road captain. Average speed: approximately 28km/h. Preferably on race bicycle. Bicycle helmet obligated! Hell of the Hollowroads

Location: Café Van Buren - Nijmegen      Category: 3      Admission: € 10,-

Today we will be riding through the challenging hillside of Nijmegen. Around the Nijmeegse Wall you will find a great variety of either short steep climbs or long, dragging climbs. Highlights include Beekmandalseweg, Oude holleweg, Kartenspielerweg & Oude Kleefsebaan.

We gather at 10:00h with coffee and cake (included) at one of the oldest and richest bars in Nijmegen: Café Van Buren. You can leave your gear over there, since we will be returning there afterwards. A great place to enjoy a much deserved drink (included), perhaps some lunch (not included) and exchange stories of other bicycle adventures. We advise you to come by train since the meeting location is right in the city centre. However, if you wish to travel by car, you are best of parking at the Keizer Karel parking garage (€ 11,- maximum per day).

Mergelland Route

Location: Maastricht central station (NS)      Category: 3      Admission: € 10,-

In the south of Holland we have the only real hillside area of our country. It is here that the Dutch AAA has made a beautiful route, known as the Mergelland Route (Marl land route). The route is a whopping 130 km in which 1200 altimeters will be passed. Famous hills you must conquer during this ride include the Loorberg, the Eyserbosweg and Keutenberg. So better pack your climbing legs, because this is one of the more challenging Meetups in our program.

We gather near Maastricht Central Station for the well-known cup of coffee and a typical local speciality: a piece of 'Riestevlaai' (rice-cake with whipped cream). The pace will be slower this day and we will always wait for everyone to reach the top of a hill in their own pace. Heuvelrug Day

Location: Café Ledig Erf - Utrecht      Category: 3      Admission: € 10,-

The Utrecht 'Hill Ridge' is a magnificent area with short climbs, car-free roads and beautiful surroundings. Wide fields and scenic dikes are also included in this trip. An ideal ride to screw up the kilometres, test your endurance and catch up. Or a good excuse to be away from family obligations at home. 😉

We gather at 10:00h with coffee and cake (included) at one of the nicest and most famous (cycling) terraces of Utrecht: ‘t Ledig Erf. You can leave your gear over there, since we will be returning there afterwards. A great place to enjoy a much deserved drink (included), perhaps some lunch (not included) and exchange stories of other bicycle adventures. We advise you to come by train since the meeting location is right in the city centre and parking is scarce. Highlights include: Ruiterberg, Amerongse berg, Grebbeberg, Defensieweg and the dike towards Wijk bij Duurstede.

Route 66

Sunday 6th of June 2021 - 11:00h
Location: Gewandeweg 56 - 5345HN Oss      Category: 4      Admission: € 10,-

On the 6th of the 6th we will be cycling 66,6 km. A 😈 ride, although the difficulty will not be demonic at all. The trip is as flat as a pancake, but there will be some nice highlights nevertheless. The polders, nature area the Maashorst and straight through Herperduin. An easy going ride to exercise your legs, catch up and hopefully enjoy the nice weather.

We will end this day in style by drinking a delicious Chouffe 6666 beer. There is plenty of parking space available and public transportation is also a good option. Also, there is a possibility to shower after the ride, since we will be finishing at the Coureurs du Courage home. For further rules and instructions; check out our house rules! Beer tasting ride N.E. Brabant

Inspired by fellow cycling-entrepreneur De Gangmaker, we set out a tasty ride in the neighbourhood. The idea is simple: we cycle a track of 100 km in which we will stop at local brewery’s and craft beer pubs. All drinks are included and you get to pick your own beer! Only, make sure you are still able to cycle afterwards, because some of these beers will make you lightheaded.

We will be visiting the following places: Brewery 't Kolleke, Abbey of Berne, CRAVT Brouwlokaal, Wilskracht City Brewery and to finish off Special beer brewery Oijen. We value responsible drinking and will take action if we think it is not responsible any more for individual participants to keep drinking alcohol and advise them to take a soda in between. Enjoy responsibly.
